Madeleine Moran is a composer, singer, and songwriter who expresses her love for music by creating it and sharing it with others. This June, she graduated from Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin with a Bachelor of Music degree in composition. She has performed her original songs as a solo artist and with her band, No Man’s Land, at Lawrence's annual spring music festival, their Winter Carnival Band Showcase, and other campus events. Her songs have also been performed by actors in the New York Musical Festival.
Madeleine was awarded an honorable mention in the Wisconsin Alliance for Composers Student Contest for her woodwind quintet, "i made this for you," which was performed in their New Music Festival. Her choral piece, "After Great Pain," was selected for the Student Composition Masterclass at the ACDA Eastern Conference. The same piece was a winner of the Baltimore Choral Arts Society Student Composition Project. Her compositions have also been performed by the professional group, Ensemble Bambou, and by numerous Lawrence Conservatory students and chamber ensembles.
